Hi there, I'm Cristian

Me pretending to be productive.

I love designing things that combine electronics, software, and mechanical systems. I'm fascinated by the process of taking an idea from concept to a fully working device.

In my professional career as an engineer, I've worked primarily on mixed-signal circuit design, PCB design, and embedded systems, which I'm very fortunate to say are also the areas I'm most interested in. I also enjoy doing a fair amount of mechanical design on the side ;)

Over the years, I've worked at electric vehicle, aerospace, and robotics companies, where I've designed and simulated circuits, built PCBs, written firmware, worked on mechanical CAD designs, and done a lot of 3D printing.

I also make art (not as much as I'd like to these days, though). That side of my work has its own section on this site because:

1) I like art, mostly sculpting.

2) I've used my art skills throughout my engineering career, and they've shaped and inspired the way I design things. I do care a lot about how the things I build look.

When I'm not at home working on one of my many unfinished/side projects on my to-do list like a monk, I really enjoy working out, going to concerts, doomscrolling on Reddit, and watching videos on YouTube. I also used to really enjoy riding and working on my motorcycle, well, that was before I sold it. Maybe that will change again someday . . .
